CRJ History

The CRJ100, a 50-seat variant was the first CRJ to enter service in November 1992.

Following the CRJ100 was a variant with upgraded engines, the CRJ200.

Then in 2001 a 44-seat variant, the CRJ440 came along, entering service in 2002.

At the request of airlines for a larger version, the CRJ700 had it's first flight in May 1999, and was delivered in January 2001, this was then followed by an announcement of the CRJ705 in March 2005.

There is now also a CRJ900.
